The Great Outdoors
is a 60-acre family run, private recreational function facility located
on the northerly end of Pleasant Pond on Route 117 in Turner, Maine. We
are centrally located within one hour from Augusta, Bethel and
Farmington areas. We are directly across from the fabulous Waggles Sports Bar
and Fore Seasons Restaurant and Turner Highlands
Country Club.
We are able to accommodate outside groups of up to 2,000 people and
inside groups of up to 300 people. Multi-day packages can be tailored
to meet your needs. Our facilities have recently been upgraded and
offer the following features:
- A huge rustic
lodge with stage, fieldstone fireplace, kitchen, cooler and freezer
facilities (seats up to 300 people; 8' banquet tables and stacking
chairs available)
- Beautiful sandy
beach and 200x200 ft. swimming area
- Canoes and kayaks
- Changing rooms
and bathrooms
- Catering service
area - does not include BBQ pits, grills, ice machine
- Sports areas
